Increasing seizures and ‘shaking’ episodes are concerning for a teenage girl with global growth delay

Rebecca, 13, presents with her parents for management of her increasingly frequent seizure-like episodes on a background of global developmental delay.

Her parents describe episodes where she becomes anxious, and "shakes so hard she falls to the ground". They had particularly noticed these episodes occurring when Rebecca was planning gross motor movements such as descending stairs, or crossing from one floor surface to another.

These episodes were now occurring up to 3-4 times a day, from a baseline of one or two a week a few months ago,
