Ardent Medical is a medical group that provides primary care services to the Australian aged care sector. We are expanding our operations and are seeking Non VR Medical Practitioners (preferably with aged care experience) to join our team of medical practitioners to provide telehealth and primary care services to our customers in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs). Our customers comprise of both public and private aged care operators with a national footprint.

 

About the Role


This role will see the successful candidate:

  • operate as the triage doctor and focus on providing urgent case reviews to aged care residents under our care (when their primary doctor is unavailable to review).
  • review tasks may include:

    • taking medical history
    • undertaking clinical examination
    • arranging any necessary investigations
    • implementing a management plan
    • providing appropriate preventive health care

  • contribute to new resident admission and medication management.
  • review care plans and participate in case conferences when needed.

 

Full Operational Support


You will be supported by our triage and administration staff day-to-day on all administrative and IT related matters. This will allow you to focus on clinical tasks and patient care.

 

Work Hours


Regular workdays and hours are Monday to Friday from 12PM to 5PM. We currently work on a roster basis and shifts will be confirmed and communicated to you based on your availabilities.

 

The successful candidate:

  • is a Non VR doctor preferably with aged care or GP experience.
  • is currently AHPRA registered and is permitted to work in Australia.
  • is able to apply for a Medicare Provider Number - refer and request only.
  • must have their own professional indemnity insurance (a copy of your policy must be provided to Ardent Medical for record purposes).
  • a great attitude and able to work under the guidance of our Senior Medical Officer.
  • is committed to the company and a team player.
  • has basic computer knowledge and good social and communication skills.
