A major service centre for the surrounding agricultural industry, Dubbo is a thriving regional city of 50,000 people, located on the Macquarie River, servicing the western and far western NSW region.  This also places Dubbo as a central hub for the industries of Health, Aged Care, and Education. Dubbo has a regional airport with numerous direct daily flights to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and is also the home of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of comprehensive primary health care to patients of all ages, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventative care, and follow up, in keeping with best practice standard
  • Provide management of chronic conditions in line with national guidelines and pathway
  • Record and maintain accurate, adequate and relevant patient records using the practice computerised medical records system
  • Build strong doctor-patient relationships based on trust, empathy, and effective communication. Respect the cultural beliefs and needs of the patients.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a medical practitioner with Medical Board (AHPRA)
  • Vocational registration through fellowship with either RACGP or ACRRM
  • Current Medical Indemnity
