Global Medics is a leading medical recruitment company, and operates globally with offices in New Zealand, Australia, United Kingdom, and Ireland.
We are supporting a small rural practice with their search for a new General Practitioner.
The Location
Situated on the east coast of the South Island, boarded by the Pacific Ocean to the east, and the Southern Alps to the west sits a quaint township with a population of 15,000. Large victorian style stone buildings line the streets, and a Blue Penguin colony reside on the beach. The town acts a great base for adventure lovers, with a plethora of hikes, rivers, and ski fields all in close proximity.
The Practice
The practice operates out of a beautiful 1915 villa, situated on vibrant grounds just on the outskirts of town. Two doctors, one nurse, a receptionist and a practice manager make up the team, and care for some 2074 enrolled patients. The practice has seen generations of families come through its doors, and has a good balance of elderly and young patients. The veteran GP who has been practicing at the clinic for 40 years has decided to retire, and as such, the practice are searching for his replacement.
