We are a vibrant, well-equipped, mixed billing rural general practice which provides healthcare to the Snowy Monaro region. Our practice is looking for a keen rural GP to join our team. We have great patients within a small community who really appreciate the work we do. We offer a flexible attitude to work hours that integrates with our practice philosophy of work life balance.

Enjoy the benefits of living and working in the year-round playground of Cooma and take advantage of the many activities our region has to offer. Ski or snowboard at Perisher and Thredbo in winter and enjoy mountain biking, hiking, horse riding or water skiing in summer as there is something for everyone to enjoy. Canberra is a 2 hours drive away, as are the beaches of the Sapphire Coast of NSW.

• Remuneration of a fixed guarantee or 70%, whatever is higher

About the practice

• Enjoy the family friendly working hours of 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday
• RMO opportunities available at the Cooma Hospital
• 5 year scheme eligible location
• We provide a comprehensive range of medical services from experienced GPs, RNs and visiting specialists
• An accredited training site for medical students from the ANU as well as the RACGP and ACRRM for GP registrars.
• X-ray and venesection are on site.

The ideal candidate 

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
• FRACGP or FACRRM or equivalent desired, but not essential
• Minimum level 2 supervision required
• Passionate about rural healthcare
