Broome: Famous for its pristine Cable Beach, a 22-kilometer stretch of white sand and turquoise water perfect for relaxing or camel rides. Broome also boasts a rich cultural heritage, including the historic Chinatown and the unique Japanese Cemetery. Its vibrant community life offers diverse cultural festivals and outdoor activities.
Broome Hospital serves as the regional resource centre with a four-bed high dependency unit, 39 beds across medical, surgical, and maternity units, a 10-bed paediatric unit, and an eight-bed inpatient mental health unit. The hospital's emergency department is busy and well-equipped for general surgery and gynaecology, with around 350 annual deliveries.
West Kimberley: Home to the dramatic Horizontal Falls, where tidal currents create spectacular waterfalls through narrow gorges, and the stunning Buccaneer Archipelago with its breathtaking coastal scenery and remote islands. This region is ideal for adventure seekers interested in exploring rugged landscapes and remote beauty.
Derby Hospital features an emergency department, 22 acute care beds, and four maternity beds. Staffed by District Medical Officers and junior doctors.
Fitzroy Crossing Hospital provides modern facilities and a 12-bed facility focused on indigenous health services.
East Kimberley: Features the awe-inspiring Bungle Bungles with their distinctive striped domes and the vast Lake Argyle, one of the largest artificial lakes in Australia. The region offers opportunities for true outback experiences, including exploring remote communities and engaging with the stunning, rugged landscape.
Kununurra District Hospital offers 32 inpatient beds and supports clinics in Wyndham and Halls Creek. Delivers around 120 babies and performs about 500 surgeries annually.
Halls Creek Hospital features eight acute beds, four boarding beds, and a dedicated palliative care bed. Weekly visits to Yiyili community.
Wyndham Hospital serves a small population of approximately 900 residents with essential healthcare services.

About You:
- Must hold AHPRA general or specialist registration.
- Fellowship of ACRRM or RACGP, or 7 years relevant experience in ED, Anaesthetics, Obstetrics, or Surgery.
- Commitment to rural health, Aboriginal health, and community care.
