Huon Valley Medical Services is seeking VR GPs to join its practices in Geeveston and Dover, in Tasmania’s beautiful Huon Valley. Full-time, part-time and locum positions are available for immediate start. This is a great opportunity for GPs with no restrictions to use or develop their skills in comprehensive general practice across two sites with a busy, friendly, and supportive team committed to positive family medicine outcomes. Dover Medical Centre supports a small local hospital and doctors working there must have appropriate emergency skills and experience.

 

What’s On Offer

 

• $20,000 sign on incentive + relocation assistance
• $10,000 incentive grant from HR+
• Earning capacity $275-$325 per hour
• Additional income available through supporting the THS facility in Dover
• Short-term accommodation & use of vehicle on arrival (by negotiation)
• Option for employee or contractor
• Reduction in moratorium to 7 years
• Workforce Incentive Payments – Doctor Stream ($12,000 after second year and increasing to $23,000 per annum after five years)
• Eligible location for the HR+ Health Workforce Scholarship Program, affording generous funding for clinical training/upskilling.
• HR+ will arrange a comprehensive and tailored orientation program on arrival.
