Hard-to-manage hair? This rare genetic condition could be to blame

It's more than just a bad hair day

If you find yourself brushing your hair every morning like you’re hacking through the dense Amazon rainforest, then you probably feel like you have uncombable hair syndrome.

But this condition is more deep-rooted than just having slightly troublesome tresses or the odd uncontrollable cowlick.

Taylor McGowan (pictured below), an 18-month-old from the US, was recently diagnosed with the syndrome, and her parents have created a Facebook page to increase awareness of the rare disorder.

As seen in her pictures, the condition is characterised by fine, flyaway hair that often stands straight up from the head.
