Wearable IV vest

A new drip system that can be worn as a vest promises the same drug delivery without all the hassle of being tethered to that pesky pole.

IV Walk

Known as the IV-Walk, medication is stored in an infusion bag inside a soft tabard  — comfortably worn over the shoulders — and then pumped through a tube into the patient’s hand.

Dutch design graduate Alissa Rees created the vest in an attempt to make the process more patient friendly, after her own experience with leukemia left her “attached to an IV pole for five weeks without any moment
