The 10 costliest drugs

Statins retained their dominance of the list of most heavily prescribed medicines and are also the costliest drug class to Australia's PBS/RPBS program.

Rosuvastatin comes in top of the list costing the country more than $345 million 2014. Tiotropium Bromide sits in 10th place with just over $200 million.
Sitting in the middle is Atorvstatin with more than seven million scripts dispensed, costing more than $180,000,000, as revealed by data from the Pharmaceutical Benefits Division publication
