Which new drugs did prescribers get behind this year?

PBS data released late last week shows a raft of medications enjoyed increases in prescribing volume between 2014/15 and 2015/16. 

The increases were mostly for drugs indicated for diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, respiratory conditions, ADHD and anticoagulation:

1. Apixaban (Eliquis) +110%
Up from 326,000 to 685,000 scripts

2. Dapagliflozin (Forxiga) +244%
Up from 124
