$200m for dementia research
Mr Abbott said that without a medical breakthrough nearly one million Australians would suffer from dementia by 2050.
The $200 million over five years would accelerate research into dementia by supporting new researchers to start work in the field, allocating priority funding for dementia research projects, improving the transfer of existing research into better care, and investing in infrastructure.
