5 do-not-dos in benign breast disease
These five procedures or tests should be avoided in the treatment of benign breast disease, according to Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand.
The list was developed by the American Society of Breast Surgeons is part of the US choosing wisely campaign.
These are the five:
- Biopsy-proven fibroadenomas smaller than 2cm should not be routinely removed.
