There has been a lot of noise about the mooted $6 co-payment plan for GP services in the past couple of weeks.
Outlined in a submission to a Federal Government razor gang, the intent of the policy proposal is to give patients a "price signal" — a sharp dig in the hip pocket that ensures they think twice about making unnecessary demands on the Medicare dollar.
