7 drug names you might not recognise in 2016

Many drug ingredient names will be changed from April 2016 as the TGA brings them in to line with international standards. 

In many cases, this will involve only minor spelling differences — with names ‘Americanised' to drop ‘Oe' from oestradiol to estradiol and replace ‘th' with ‘t' as in chlorthalidone to chlortalidone.
