The Pharmacy Council of NSW has released an updated checklist for compounding pharmacists to use as a self-audit tool to ensure their preparations are consistently of high quality, and that their practice complies with federal and state regulations.


The council reminds compounding pharmacists to perform risk assessments and offer patient counselling on all compounding requests.

It also provides guidance on the procurement and storage of raw materials explains restrictions on batch preparations.
