But the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said the RDAA could negotiate for GPs and visiting medical officers when setting fees with state and territory health departments.
GPs are legally considered individual businesses and therefore banned from collective fee setting, but representative bodies can negotiate on their behalf.
