ACCC seeks big penalties for false breast screen claims

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) accused WA based Safe Breast Imaging and Breast Check, and their respective directors Ms Joanne Firth and Dr Alexandra Boyd, of false and misleading conduct over their claims about the Multifrequency Electrical Impedance Mammograph (MEIM). Breast Check also used a digital infrared camera to capture images, the ACCC said.
