Action needed on rural pharmacist shortfall

The National Rural Health Alliance is calling for action to increase access to medicines in many rural and remote areas, with pharmacist prescribing one of their suggestions.

In a new discussion paper, the Alliance says there is “relatively poor access to medicines and pharmaceutical advice available to people in rural and remote areas”.
