On Wednesday, a group of brave and passionate doctors successfully forced the government to backtrack on laws that would have seen them jailed for whistleblowing on the conditions in which their patients were being held.

Called Doctors for Refugees, the group includes many GPs advocates for the health and wellbeing of those held in Australia’s offshore detention centres.
