AGPN closure plan hit by oppostion

Tensions are flaring across the crumbling divisions network over a proposal to shut down the AGPN.

A vote to wind up the network will take place at an extraordinary general meeting of the network in Canberra on 22 June, with the board urging members to support the motion because the network has no future funding.

To get across the line, 75% of the AGPN’s members will need to vote in favour of the motion.

But some divisions that did not win contracts with Medicare
