All specialties urged to investigate bullying

All medical specialties are being urged to investigate whether they have a "toxic" culture in the wake of the shocking exposé of bullying and harassment within surgery.

Reports prepared by an external advisory group to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) revealed that 49% of surgery fellows, trainees and IMGs said they had been subjected to discrimination, bullying or harassment — largely at the hands of senior surgeons and surgical consultants.
