A novel anabolic treatment for osteoporosis has come up trumps in a randomised controlled trial, showing a substantial reduction of fractures in postmenopausal women.

In the landmark ACTIVE trail, abaloparatide-SC reduced fractures and increased bone mineral density for a broad range of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis.
