Dr Laming, an ophthalmologist, joins fellow Liberals Dr Mal Washer, a GP, and Dr Andrew Southcott as a registered doctor in federal parliament, as well as NSW shadow health minister Dr Andrew McDonald, a paediatrician, and Queensland MP Dr Bruce Flegg, also a GP.
