Another super bailout for super clinic
The Federal Government has ploughed an extra $880,000 into a multimillion dollar super clinic in another apparent bailout.
Based in Jindabyne, NSW, the Snowy River clinic joins other projects in Mount Isa, Wallan and Redcliffe which have been bailed out by taxpayers at a total cost of over $13 million.
The government has yet to confirm the move or explain why the extra money was needed.
Opposition health spokesman Andrew Southcott said a $5 million funding agreement to build the Snowy River clinic was signed in 2011, but construction work has still not started on the project.
