Antihypertensives linked to lip cancers

Patients taking certain antihypertensives are at increased risk of lip cancers because the drugs make the skin more sensitive to light, a study finds.

Writing this week in the Archives of Internal Medicine (online), researchers reported the risk of lip cancers increased up to fourfold among Caucasians taking three common antihypertensives for five years or longer.
