Antithyroid drug shortage hits Australia

A global shortage of antithyroid drug carbimazole has hit Australia, with many pharmacies likely to be out of stock for several weeks.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration is urging patients to count up their tablets and visit their doctor at least two weeks before their supply runs out.
