Apathy will bring down profession

A Queensland pharmacist says his colleagues that weren’t active in fighting codeine rescheduling “don’t deserve your profession.”

Steve Flavel, (pictured) owner of Woody Point Pharmacy, said the stay of execution of the issue exposes the extent of apathy there is in pharmacy.

“Sending a letter objecting the rescheduling of Codeine to the TGA was about the easiest task almost completely spoon-fed to us by the Pharmacy Guild yet only 113 of us actually bothered to make our objections known,” he said in a Facebook post.
