Aussie pharmacists set to dispense cannabis
Pharmacists in Victoria will be dispensing cannabis within two years if the state government succeeds with its plans to legalise the drug for medicinal purposes.
In an Australian first, the state’s Labor government announced on Tuesday that it wants patients to have access to locally manufactured medicinal cannabis products in exceptional circumstances.
Children with severe epilepsy will be given priority access to the drug from early 2017, according to a statement by Premier Daniel Andrews. Cannabis products will be sold only in the form of tinctures, oils, sprays
