Australia set to reap profits of medicinal cannabis

A legal Australian medical cannabis industry would be worth $100 million from the get-go, the country’s first white paper on the subject predicts.

Written by Sydney University researchers in conjunction with Israeli medicinal cannabis company MGC Pharma, the white paper declares itself “a reference for future policy discussions” in Australia.

The paper uses case studies from Israel, The Netherlands and Canada and predicts multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, epilepsy and cancer patients would be the most obvious beneficiaries
