Australian lab offering prenatal genetic tests

The first Australian laboratory to conduct non-invasive prenatal genetic screening is offering tests for Down syndrome at 10-20 weeks of pregnancy.

The growing popularity of  prenatal genetic screening has so far been accommodated by companies that outsource to overseas laboratories, but  now Sydney-based Genea is offering onshore analysis via its clinics in NSW, ACT and WA.
