Autism link to maternal obesity

Researchers found that obese mothers were 67% more likely to have a child with autism than normal weight mothers who did not have diabetes or hypertension.

The study of about 1000 children aged between two and five years also found that mothers with diabetes were twice as likely to have a child with developmental disorders than healthy mothers.
