Axe falls on largest GP research project

The country’s largest GP research project is to be axed after 18 years, leaving Australia with no “valid, reliable and independent data source” of clinical activity in general practice.

The BEACH study will close on 30 June after the Federal Department of Health said it would not continue funding into the new financial year.
