An unregistered former chiropractor convinced a patient with a life-threatening facial tumour that vitamin C injections would cure him, a tribunal has found.

George Zaphir, a chiropractor until his registration lapsed in 2010, administered 80,000mg injections of vitamin C to Queensland man Ian Booth every week for about three months in 2015.

Mr Booth was diagnosed with a small squamous cell carcinoma on his lacrimal duct that could have been removed surgically, at the cost of Mr Booth’s sight in one eye.
