Bisphosphonates findings described as ‘misleading’

A new analysis shows the drugs used to treat osteoporosis may not concurrently protect women from breast cancer after all.

Contrary to previous findings, bisphosphonate treatment does not decrease the risk of invasive postmenopausal breast cancer, according a large study published in JAMA Internal Medicine, which shows previous research results to be misleading.
