Blackmores buys Chinese medicine supplier

Blackmores has bought Chinese herbal medicine supplier Global Therapeutics for $23 million.

In a statement, Blackmores says the 100% acquisition will further “cement its position as the number one provider” of natural health products in Australia while also giving the company a leading position in the health food store arena.

Global Therapeutics was established by Paul Keogh and Geoff Teasel in Byron Bay in 1999 and was originally called Fusion Health, combining Chinese herbal extracts with other products validated by modern science
