Blood pressure cuff boosts CABG survival

The humble blood pressure cuff could be the answer to boosting post-op survival after cardiac bypass surgery, a new study suggests.

The procedure, known as remote ischaemic preconditioning, involves briefly cutting off then restoring the blood supply to a remote part of the body such as the arm.
