Botox good for more than just wrinkles

An injection of botulinum toxin A, better known as botox, has long been an accepted treatment for wrinkles but research by two plastic surgeons shows it also improves collagen and skin quality.

The Canadian study shows botox injected into facial skin increases pliability and elastic recoil and reduces the ratio of viscoelastic resistance (Uv) to elastic resistance (Ue).

But the mechanism for these changes is not clear, say the surgeons.
