Call for mandatory practice accreditation after GPs' vaccine fail triggers public health alert
A leading vaccine expert is calling for GP practice accreditation to be mandatory after an unaccredited clinic was found using out-of-date vaccines apparently stored in a household fridge.
On Wednesday, a public health alert was issued to track down at least 3000 patients who may have been administered vaccines at the Sydney practice over the past 10 years.
The practice had been run by husband and wife GPs: Dr Darrel Weinman, who died last year, and Dr Brinda Weinman, who retired in May this year.
