Research institute denies promoting pseudoscience

A complementary and alternative medicine research institute has defeated a crowded field to win science's least wanted prize: The 2017 Bent Spoon Award.

Judges from anti-quackery group Australian Skeptics Inc declared the National Institute of Complementary Medicine, part of the University of Western Sydney, to be “the perpetrator of the most preposterous piece of paranormal or pseudo-scientific piffle” this year.
