Chemist Warehouse pulls advertising from Alan Jones show

The company took to Twitter in response to social media comments

Chemist Warehouse is the latest high-profile brand to pull sponsorship from Alan Jones’ breakfast radio show after the shock jock said he wanted a sock shoved down the throat of the New Zealand Prime Minister.

It has confirmed it has withdrawn its advertising after consumers and activist groups bombarded social media demanding a boycott following an on-air attack on Jacinda Arden.

Anytime Fitness Australia, Big W, Bunnings, and Volkswagen Australia are among 22 other advertisers who have walked away.
