Chemist Warehouse and its real estate partners are unfazed by speculation a legal stoush will delay their plans to develop a shopping centre empire.
This follows ABC reports that doubt had been cast over the timing of their buyout of 61 Masters stores after Lowes, a one-third Masters shareholder, had launched a case in the Federal Court against its joint-venture partner, Woolworths.
Lowes, which must approve any land sale, wants a liquidator appointed to oversee the wind-down of Masters, the ABC reported. This could push back
