Childhood CT scans linked to adult brain cancer

CT scans as much as triple children’s risk of developing brain tumours and leukaemia later in life, “landmark” research finds.

The study of 170,000 British children found those who absorbed the equivalent radiation of 2-3 modern-day head CT scans by age 15 were 2.8 times more likely to develop brain cancer than children exposed to low radiation doses.
