Coffee lovers may live longer

Drinking coffee may be linked to longer life, with a new study suggesting that every extra cup per day reduces the risk of death further.

After analysing the death rate of over 400,000 coffee drinkers aged 50 to 71 years over 14 years, researchers found coffee drinking reduced the risk of the most major causes of death, with the exception of cancer.

"Our results provide reassurance with respect to the concern that coffee drinking might adversely affect health," the authors wrote Thursday in the New England Journal
