Competency checks: What are we to make of the new era?
The news of the medical board’s final intentions on how to best assess doctors’ on-going competency was met with something close to relief by doctors’ leaders.
They feared that the profession was going to be squashed flat by a UK-built revalidation juggernaut.

She has always ruled it out.
But beyond the sense of relief, what was unveiled last week will still cause significant ructions.
