Concern over quetiapine prescribing
Claims GPs are increasingly prescribing off-label quetiapine for anxiety and insomnia have been questioned by a GP expert.
Dr Hester Wilson, a Sydney GP and benzodiazepine researcher, criticised an opinion piece in Australian Prescriber last week that suggested GPs were largely to blame for the 200-fold rise in off-label scripts for the antipsychotic over the past decade.
