Coroner issues 'safety watch' for Addison's disease

A NSW coroner has recommended that the state health department issues a patient safety alert to doctors to ensure they consider Addison's disease after two undetected cases.

Two young people in NSW — Dr Peter Domachuk (PhD), 33, and Jessica Martin, 24 — died from the disease three years apart, each just days after being discharged from hospital where Addison's disease was not diagnosed, an inquest found.
