Court rules against Primary Health Care

Australia's largest GP corporate will have to pay nearly $400,000 to a man who contracted HIV after his partner attended one of its clinics and was mistakenly given the all clear for the virus.

In a judgement issued just before Christmas, the NSW Court of Appeal upheld a 2011 finding that Primary Health Care should contribute 40% of a $950,000 compensation payout.
