Criminals disrupt Australian Valium supply
Criminals have disrupted Australia’s Valium supply by removing the drug from 50-tablet packs and replacing it with unrelated medicines.
This has sparked an urgent recall of 5mg Valium in 50-tablet blister packs.
Batches of the medicines used as replacements have also been recalled. These are:
- BTC paracetamol codeine. Batch number is 40970, expiry May 2018.
- Rosuvastatin. Batch number is F4250, expiry August 2019.
- Pantaprazole. Batch number is F4442, expiry October 2018.
Valium is a Roche product and the others are Apotex products.
