Death inquest continues: junior doctor did not update notes
A JUNIOR doctor has defended her lack of medical notes on an elderly patient who died days after undergoing surgery to remove her gall bladder, which had already been removed 10 years earlier.
Athenia Hana Walden, 68, died in Perth on May 11 2008, just three days after surgery. An inquest into her death was to continue this week.
Ms Walden had already had her gall bladder removed at the same hospital in 1998, but was told she needed to undergo the same procedure again 10 years later.
